Product Details

Quickly replace damaged oil drain screw threads and plug up the hole with the ABN 114 Piece Oil Pan Rethreading Tool Kit. Each oil pan tapping kit includes 6 oil drain thread repair taps, 36 threaded plugs, and 72 washers in 6 metric sizes to cover most vehicle repair needs. To use, choose the tap that is one size up from the damaged drain hole. Using a tap wrench driver (not included), slowly enlarge the drain hole then use the washers and oversized drain nuts in that larger size to plug up the newly cut threads. It is recommended the flutes of the taps be filled with grease to assist in lubrication and to help remove metal fragments as the tap cuts new threads. Use automotive repair tools to fix your sump drain, gearbox drain, and transmission pan drain holes.
